The Leap Stories live in Melbourne for the Victorian Small Business Festival
The annual Victorian Small Business Festival is coming up in August and Kylie Lewis, author of The Leap Stories, is hosting a special panel called Taking The Leap, Women in Business on Tuesday 15th August, 6-8pm.
The panel will feature these three inspring creative women in conversation:⠀
Emma Kate Coddrington, founder of stationery label Emma Kate Co will chat about her leap from graphic design in London, launching her stationery company in Adelaide, moving to Melbourne (for love) and raising $50k on Kickstarter for a new product launch.
Madeleine Dore, founder of Extraordinary Routines, will dig into leaving her dream job to craft a global freelance career while undertaking creative and intriguing social experiments!⠀
Kate Vandermeer, founder of The Supercool will uncover what it took to leave a lengthy career in fashion to open her own international award winning retail store, getting her husband on the books and having a baby in the mix.⠀
Part panel discussion, part Q&A, part pondering your own leap, this event is designed to put you in the company of courage, broaden your horizons, tap into what matters and get insider tips what taking a leap could mean for you (and it doesn't necessarily mean it's boots and all, all at once!). We'll be sharing hard won wisdoms, how our days/weeks work and how really unpacking the assumptions you have about your working life can unlock a career that is yours for the making.⠀
Includes a copy of The Leap Stories. Light refreshments served.
